Fixtures Results 2025

24th July 2025

ATBC 86 v Woburn Sands 42

We went to Woburn Sands with 4 triples and despite a little rain at the beginning of the game it dried up quickly and we managed to play the 18 ends we had planned. The match was followed by tea and cake for all players.  The game was played in good spirits with lots of banter and they are always good company over there.

22nd July 2025

Ladies Triples Gala

ATBC hosted a very successful day by inviting local Ladies triples teams to enter the gala day event.

Despite a few spots of rain the games proceeded and the winning team was from Bletchley St Martin, with runners up from Cheddington.

We raised quite a lot of money for the club, which is gratefully appreciated.

Jan would like to give a big thank you to anyone involved in the day, but she does not want to name names as she might leave someone out.  Suffice to say that without the commitment of our members who give their time willingly and voluntarily this day would not have gone ahead, and we would not have had so much profit for the club.

We had a huge raffle, and thanks also go to anyone who donated prizes and who helped to run the raffle.

To those of you who bought raffle tickets there are a few prizes on the table in the lounge, with your names on, so please check next time you are up there.

The chocolate cake was won by Sue Ford, so if you were waiting for it to arrive, I am sorry it has gone

Once again thank you for making the day the success that it was.

19th July 2025

ATBC Remembrance Trophy

Gentlemen 84 v Ladies 49

Despite the weather and some last minute juggling of the teams by Lorraine & Sue, the match went ahead.

A great morning bowling, with some good shots eventually. But more importantly we had fun, we had a laugh, the game was played in great spirit and we remembered three great bowlers Keith Stratfull, Graham Spenceley & Chris Hounslow. It was also nice to see some of some relatives attend to watch the match.  Many thanks to Sue Stratfull, Richard Stratfull & Glynnis Spenceley for their support on this day of remembrance.

Thanks also to Lorraine & Sue for all the hard work making it happen & Ally for the use of Foxhill Indoor Bowls Club.

Bucks Ladies Top Club - Semi Final

Gerrards Cross v ATBC

A great effort from our Ladies saw them beat Iver Heath in the Bucks Top Club a few weeks ago.

But this evening in a balmy 27 degrees they took on a strong GX team and despite some great bowling, lost across all four rinks.

Nevertheless a great effort and they represented the club with pride.

Well done Ladies!
